Olivine is the most common mineral and more than 20 times present to record all the carbon dioxide.

Olivine is located on the earth's subsurface anywhere on the planet. It is a mantle rock that has come up in the formation of most mountain ranges and volcanic eruptions.

It is a natural weathering of a mineral. The reaction proceeds slowly, about 1-10 μm per year.

greenSand reacts with CO2 and water and then defines to bicarbonate (= lime) magnesium and sand. The lime solutions counteract acidification of the soil. The acidity degree rises and then gets stabilized. In addition, it gradually fills the shortages of magnesium. The released magnesium is the main nutrient for plants. 1 kg of greenSand Olivine is similar to 1.43 kg of lime.

greenSand pot and gardening soil are rich in magnesium. Magnesium is the main nutrient for plants and is essential for the formation of chlorophyll (green of a leaf). greenSand potting soil has more fertilizers and cares for an airy, loose root structure.

The advantage of sand over salt spreading is that it does not affect plants, animals, or metals. greenSand contains crushed grains of Olivine which make it drier than river sand. greenSand does not melt snow or ice, but immediately provides a smoother surface.
